This article houses general information about the PLNAR & Xactimate integration, FAQs, and additional guidance when consuming the data.

Software Requirements:

The Plnar/Xactimate Integration is available for version X1 and XOR of Xactimate and within XactAnalysis. Simply reach out to your Xactware contact and they will get Plnar enabled for you.

Troubleshooting FAQs

Q: When should I expect the Plnar data to be available once a project has been submitted?

A: We typically have a next business day turnaround time. Once available, you should receive an email notification from us as well as a little bell notification within X1 or XOR letting you know your Plnar data is ready for review. (The assets will only load completely to XA once the estimate is completed, but all the assets should be in X1 or XOR once opened.)

Q: How do I initiate a project from Xactimate / Sync Plnar

A: The steps to initiate a project are the same if attempting to sync the Plnar data.

Please see the attached .pdfs (scroll to the bottom of this page) showing detailed instructions on how to initiate projects/sync data using Desktop (X1) and Online (XOR).

Q: Where will the Plnar Data be located within Xactimate?

A:

The diagram will be within the Claim's Estimate tab:

  • Click on Sketch tab

  • Use yellow Import button (at the top left of the canvas).

The photos will be in the Photos tab in the Unassigned Folder:

The reports will be within the Documents tab:

  • Click on Reports tab on the left menu

  • You should see tabs labeled Estimate Reports, Claim Reports, and then a third tab labeled "Documents," Click there, and then click "Attached Docs" to view:

Q: Sketch is available in Xactimate, but I'm not able to edit or move rooms. How do I correct this?

A: Check to see that the “Display Validation” option under the View drop-down is turned on to confirm elements or structures do not violate Xactimate’s sketching rules. Most elements not adhering to Xact’s display guidelines will display in red and either need to be edited or redrawn to pass validation. On occasion, all elements may pass validation, but the locked canvas persists. When this occurs, review structure blocks within the room objects and make sure none are overlapping with an internal wall. Editing/deleting/re-drawing the offending structure object will unlock the canvas and you can proceed with merging room actions.
